(ENBE)
INTRO
This module aims to learn on two major components; the natural and built environments. Students will be introduced to observational skills, data compilation and analysis, developing ideas and presentation skills. Their learning experience and exposure are extended beyond the class walls. They will experience the nature and built environment through site visit that will further enhance their understanding and appreciation of the both components of this module.
MODULE OBJECTIVES
1. To build awareness towards the natural and built environment.
2. To provide knowledge of the elements of the natural and built environment at its basic unit, form and function.
3. To understand the interrelation between the elements of the natural and built environment.
4. To question, analyze and articulate the impact of natural and built environment.

ASSIGNMENT 1A (INDIVIDUAL)
The Nature Journal
In this assignment, students are required to watch a documentary named "Earth 2007" to present the information and thoughts in an A4 size journal by using info-graphic manner. Students need to reflect on what had they experienced and thoughts through this documentary. Each elements that have been investigated needed to be sketched and described in detail.
REFLECTION
In this assignment, i have learnt that prey-predator relationship is really common in this cruel world. Although it seemed cruel but it is the only way for the predators to get their source of food. The preys try hard to escape from their enemy - predator even though it's hard for them to escape the predators. So, as a human we should not give up easily in our life but try hard to overcome challenges in our life.
Besides, protecting our nature from being damaged is also our human responsibility to have a better future.

ASSIGNMENT 1B (GROUP)
Miniature Shelter In Nature
In this assignment, students are required to go for a trip in Janda Baik to choose one or a combination of two of the earth components as the setting of the site.Students needed to find a main site according to the earth component, a shelter site and site study is needed to be carried out too.
Each groups were assigned an animal lego character to construct a miniature shelter according to it's characteristics and adaptations. Students have to note down destruction that effects to the natural setting and come out with effects.
Lastly, each groups had to compose every findings and present through A3 size presentation boards.
REFLECTION
Throughout this assignment, i have learnt the importance of connection between natural elements and built environment. we have to think about some of the aspects such as natural components, elements, topography and landscape. I have also learnt how to observe our nature and deliver them out by using different techniques.
Besides, i learnt how to communicate and cooperate among the group members. This is why we can get a best and satisfied outcome in a short time.

ASSIGNMENT 2A (INDIVIDUAL)
My 'X' Hometown
In this assignment, students were required to explore their own hometown by recall, revisit or study about it. We were assigned to choose a town or city of our origin and to choose a specific area to study in detail. After that, we have to make an A4 size pamphlet to visualize the ambience, built components, social and culture through tangible and intangible components.
Firstly, we have to study the background and the history of the township, the significant components, the accessibility and others more of the township. We also have to illustrate a map of our township as a reference. Secondly, we need to zoom in our selected areas of the township to elaborate the built components in detail through tangible and intangible components. Thirdly, we need to select our favourite place of the area with justification. As a conclusion, we need to identify the issues in the township with some improvement ideas.
REFLECTION
Throughout this assignment, i had a better understanding about my hometown. I have discovered many places that i had never been before. It made me appreciate more and wanted to explore more physically in one day.
Besides, some part of my hometown should be improve and develop to attract more visitors as well as to become a more advanced 'HOMETOWN' for everyone.

ASSIGNMENT 2B (GROUP)
Street Intervention
In this assignment, students were assigned to a site in Kuala Lumpur. We have to construct the ideas on street intervention based on the conducted site study. The street intervention must be related to the site potential and issues that have been identified.
After that, we have to compose all our findings including macro study, micro study, swot study and also our idea proposal on the A1 size presentation boards. Besides, we have to come up with a 2D pop up model to reflect the intervention and the significant content in the presentation board.

REFLECTION
In this assignment, I had learned how to identify the components of elements and buildings. I also built my confidence through speak out asking someone about the positive or negative side of the street.Â
Besides, ideas and suggestions that given by the panels are really useful and impressed me. They make me realize that we should brave in making decision to break out traditional thinking. It's really benefits me as well as my teammates in the following assignments.
